Our Client, an Organisation in the Energy Sector, is seeking to fill the position of Team Lead – Communication & Branding.

JOB PURPOSE

The Team Lead – Communications & Branding oversees the development and execution of plans, campaigns, programmes, and events that support the Company's communications and branding & sponsorship strategies and promote the Company's position among relevant stakeholder groups internally and externally. The jobholder collaborates with key stakeholders to ensure communications and branding remain relevant and that all initiatives support the Company's brand philosophy, reputation, and image management goals.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement communications strategies, programmes and events for internal and external stakeholders of the organisation using all communications channels (social media, traditional media, written, website, etc) to ensure effective distribution of timely and accurate information with a view to creating a favourable perception of the Company and enhancing its reputation.
  • Develop and implement branding strategies to guarantee the successful positioning and development of the organisation’s reputation and image both locally and internationally where applicable and ensure that KPIs for branding and sponsorships are achieved.
  • Manages the development and regulation of the organisations brand and all branded signage and collateral deployed across the Company.
  • Keep abreast of company initiatives, developments in the industry and on the national landscape to tailor appropriate communications for executive communication, internal communications, public relations, and crisis management to advance the company's business objectives to internal and external audiences.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally including Shareholders, community representatives and employees and manage the two-way flow of information resulting from communication initiatives designed to engage stakeholders such as media, employees and shareholder groups.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • A B.Sc. in Business Management, Business Administration, Corporate Communications, or other related discipline from a recognized, accredited institution.
  • At least eight (8) years strategic Communications and Branding experience, three (3) of which should be spent in a supervisory capacity.
  • Knowledge and experience in event management, public relations, social media and traditional media strategies and management.
  • Knowledge and experience in brand and sponsorship management, marketing and advertising.
  • Working experience and having existing healthy relationships with the media will be an asset.
