Tax Associate

• Exercises professional scepticism.
• Prepares Corporation Tax and VAT Returns for medium and large companies.
• Prepares quarterly newsletter and assist with preparation of annual budget newspaper.
• Prepares VAT, Corporation Tax, Income Tax and Withholding Tax calculations for individuals and companies. 
• Prepares letters to BIR with respect to objecting to Notices of Assessments, request for waiver and follow up of TAX and VAT refunds on behalf of clients.
• Prepares Applications for BIR, VAT and NIS Registrations on behalf of clients.
• Prepares Application VAT Cancellation on behalf of clients.
• Provides support to Senior staff when needed.
• Have an understanding of compliance deadlines and the knowledge of various statutory organizations we work with.
• Any other work assigned by the Tax Manager.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently pursuing ACCA Level 2.
• Pursuing Tertiary level education in business or relevant qualification.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Secondary school education including the attainment of at least five (5) ‘O’ including English Language and Mathematics and/or two (2) ‘A’ levels.
• 2-3 Years’ experience in a professional tax/accounting environment.
