This position entails the maintenance and upgrade operations for the Flagship Complex and other e TecK facilities. The incumbent is responsible for the monitoring of all major equipment and be the first responder for maintenance related issues.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: The incumbent will be required to:
1. Monitor the performance of all systems at the Flagship Complex, the Alutech Research and Development Facility, the Sangster’s Hill Mall, the Tamana InTech Park and other e TecK facilities through regular checks (daily, weekly) in accordance with the Preventative Maintenance Plan. These systems include but are not limited to: access (doors & gate barriers), elevators, electrical (lighting, low voltage and high voltage), fire detection & suppression, fuel supply & storage, generators, HVAC (split units, chillers, cooling towers, air handlers, chilled water pumps & ducting), natural gas supply, plumbing & pumps, potable water supply and waste water.
2. Perform various maintenance tasks including but not limited to: plumbing repairs, electrical, painting, carpentry, mechanical tasks and ground caretaking; inclusive of some light construction.
3. Actively monitor the work of contractors and provide written reports on the performance of all recurrent services and projects.
4. Assist in the preparation of scope of works, tender documents & evaluation reports, letters, memoranda, etc. for the execution of works at facilities owned and/or operated by the Company.
5. Assist in defining facility needs and establishing priorities for facility improvements and preventative maintenance.
6. Supervise planned maintenance activities conducted by contractors with aim to meet or exceed project expectations, quality and HSSE standards.
7. Physically respond in a timely manner to emergency maintenance situations at facilities owned/operated by the Company.
8. Maintain accurate logs of building checks, equipment checks, supplies, spare parts, contractor services, fuel delivery, etc.
9. Comply fully with the Company’s policies and procedures, and adheres to the Company’s Core Values and Charter of Business Ethics by daily demonstration of associated behaviour.
10. Perform any other duties and work on special projects within the scope of contractual obligations.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
1. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET) or Electrical Engineering Technology (EET) or equivalent.
2. A Wireman’s License would be considered an asset.
3. Experience with the operation, maintenance and repair of HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, waste water treatment and generator systems.
4. Minimum of five (5) O’ Level passes.
5. At least two (2) years’ experience in a similar capacity.

4. Ability to assess, diagnose and make adjustment to equipment and minor repairs quickly.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Must own a vehicle.
2. Must permanently reside in a location that does not have a commute in excess of thirty (30) minutes via a personal vehicle (between 2 p.m. and 6 a.m.) as calculated by Google Maps.
