To manage the day-to-day transactional or routine functions for recruitment, and talent development within the HR Department and serve as a functional knowledge resource to team members who are focused on core HR processes.

Key Responsiblities

  • Support the implementation of the talent management strategy related to recruitment, performance management, succession planning, talent assessment, and training and development that align with the organization’s objectives.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of the Wisynco Management Training Programme and other employee development programmes and coordinate all activities related to  Leadership Development Programmes.
  • Manage Succession Planning Programme.
  • Support the development of company guidelines, policies and procedures.
  • Prepare annual training plans for the Group and implement associated activities as agreed; developing and executing training programmes as may be necessary.
  • Manage the delivery and execution of transactional HR services and core HR processes to ensure that the team meets its objectives in providing high quality and consistent service to the business in line with policies and service standards.
  • Manage the preparation and maintenance of reports as necessary to carry out the functions of the department and prepare periodic reports and analytics as requested.
  • Analyse performance appraisal results across the Group and prepare reports for circulation to the respective leaders.
  • Track and report on costs related to development initiatives and ensure costs are in line with budgetary guidelines.
  • Manage the employee benefit programmes to ensure all entitlements are executed as required including the negotiation and administration of the respective employee benefit plans.
  • Facilitate the Company’s recruitment efforts to include preparing and placing advertisements, work with supervisors to screen and interview candidates, conduct reference checks, extend job offers and conduct new-employee orientation.
  • Develop, lead and motivate the team through coaching, influencing them to take positive actions and be accountable for their assigned work.
  • Develop cross-functional partnership with internal and external HR business partners and manage relationship with key business stakeholders including vendors.
  • Manage HR recordkeeping to ensure accurate maintenance of the HR Management Information System (HRMIS) and physical employee files based on established standards and provide necessary information to relevant stakeholders as required.
  • Ensure excellent customer experience that supports the business, measured through quality monitoring.
  • Serve as the strategic HR business partner and advisor to the Distribution Arm of the Business on issues that affect performance and business relationships.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualification, Experience, Knowledge, and skills:

  • First Degree in Human Resource Management and/or Development, Industrial Psychology or related discipline
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience at the management level
  • A track record of successfully implementing strategic talent management programmes
  • Broad knowledge and expertise in labour laws and contemporary Human Resource Practices
  • Good HR generalist knowledge and competence; especially in the functional areas of staffing and talent development
  • Experience in non-traditional methods of recruiting and learning.
  • Results oriented, execution driven and innovative thinking
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships at all levels, maintain confidentiality and influence leaders and key stakeholders
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership and team development capabilities
  • Proficiency with HRMIS, Microsoft Office Suite [Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.
  • Excellent team player with the proven ability to also work independently
  • Experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment where there is a requirement to meet challenging deadlines
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) competencies, with research, editing reporting and public speaking skills
  • Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics
