 TRUCK DRIVER

The successful applicant will be responsible for the delivery of goods to resorts throughout the chain.

Applicants should satisfy the following minimum requirements:

• Operating trucks safely in accordance with the Road Traffic Act of Jamaica
• Following speed limits, obeying traffic signals, and practicing defensive driving
• Delivering cargo to specified locations on schedule
• Ensuring delivery documentation is completed accurately
• Performing daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections (e.g., brakes, tires, lights, oil, and fuel)
• Reporting any mechanical issues to the relevant department for repairs
• Securing and protecting loads according to legal and safety standards
• Loading and unloading goods when necessary, using proper techniques or equipment
• Maintaining accurate delivery logs
• Ensuring all invoices are properly completed and submitted.
• Interacting professionally with receivers and clients during pickups and deliveries

Qualification and Experience: 

• Three (3) GCE ‘O’, CXC, or CAPE subjects.
• A minimum of three years’ experience driving a 6-10 wheeler truck
• Holder of a valid driver’s open general license
• Standard communication skills, both oral and written
• Standard interpersonal and communication skills, including strong listening skills
