The Port Authority of Jamaica wishes to recruit a TEMPORARY DIGITAL MARKETING PROFESSIONAL in the Marketing & Communications Department.

The Port Authority of Jamaica wishes to recruit a TEMPORARY DIGITAL MARKETING PROFESSIONAL in the Marketing & Communications Department.

SALARY: $6,500,000 per annum.

JOB SUMMARY: The function supports the planning, development and execution of the organization’s digital marketing programme to promote the corporate brand and sub-brands, projects, products, and services. It interfaces with the various digital and online platforms and marketing campaigns, analyzes performance data, and identifies trends to optimize digital marketing efforts. The scope of responsibilities includes content creation and development, platform and channel management, brand consistency and analytics.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, digital media management, communications, business administration or any related field PLUS Five (5) years’ experience in a similar capacity.

 KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Campaign and Channel Management:

  • Support the planning and management of digital marketing and social media campaigns across various channels (e.g., social media, email, search engines, websites). 
  • Coordinate the performance of digital marketing channels to ensure consistent and timely updates of social media content across all channels/platforms.
  • Manage the relationship with social media management provider, engagement with followers and stakeholders, and relationships with social media influencers using social media marketing tools to monitor campaigns, posts, and engagement.

Content Development & Creation: 

  • Manage the development of engaging content for various platforms, and create content strategies based on business objectives, category focus, and audience segments.

Performance Analysis and Trend Identification: 

  • Monitor, analyze, and report on the performance of digital marketing campaigns.
  •  Keep abreast of new digital and social media trends, and latest digital marketing trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Use research/consumer insights to determine benchmark trends and audience preferences.
  • Ensure timely reporting on achievement of objectives and reporting on ROI.
  • Monitor search engine optimisation (SEO) and web traffic metrics; analyse data to inform decision making, strategy and planning.

Quality Assurance and Budget Management:

  • Ensure consistency/accuracy of information and related content across digital platforms
  • Develop and implement effective SEO strategies to improve website rankings in search engine results pages, drive content and increase site traffic. Ensure content is compliant with intellectual property and data protection laws.
  • Manage and track the digital marketing budget.
  • Any other duties assigned.
