JOB Title: System Administrator
To be a successful System Administrator representing MTAC Network Management Ltd one must be capable of managing and maintaining customer networks and all other computer related systems, with an excellent ability to solve problems using your in-depth understanding of information systems and computing solutions. A willing and supportive team player, capable of handling all support requests with courtesy and professionalism.
Core Function:
- Provide deskside and remote support for MTAC Network Management Ltd Customers.
- Manage customers via local Helpdesk with the agreed service level management framework.
- Ensure SLA targets are met, and service improvement plans are developed and executed.
Detail of Function:
Responsible for managing and maintaining MTAC Network Management Ltd customers network systems Island wide. Manage and maintain LANs, WANs, End User devices to include but not limited to computers laptops mobile devices tablets etc. Provide remote and deskside support to customers.
Primary responsibilities
- Support LANs, WANs, network segments, Core Application, and deskside applications.
- Troubleshoot problems and resolve issues reported by customers.
- Analyze and isolate issues and escalate where necessary.
- Monitor networks to ensure security and availability to specific users.
- Evaluate and manage system's performance.
- Respond to user needs within the SLA agreed with the customer.
- Ensure network connectivity throughout the company's LAN/WAN infrastructure is on par with technical considerations.
- Maintain network facilities in individual machines, such as drivers and settings of personal computers as well as printers.
- Maintain network devices such as file servers, Firewalls, Network Attached Storage Devices.
- Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, personal digital assistants, smartphones, software deployment, security updates and patches.
- Participates in network installations where necessary to ensure intimate knowledge of customer network design.
Reporting:
Reports directly to the Network Operations Manager.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in IT related field
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, System Administration, or related field
- Professional certifications Microsoft MCSA & Cisco CCNA
- Must have an aptitude for problem solving.
- Must be results-oriented and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite of applications and IT system management software.
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must have good written and verbal skills.
