We are seeking a talented and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team.

We are seeking a highly professional and service-oriented Sushi Chef  to join our team at Royalton CHIC Antigua, Autograph Collection. The Sushi Chef will be responsible for preparing, presenting, and serving high-quality sushi and Japanese dishes, ensuring consistency and excellence in taste and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes according to standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety in the workspace.
• Select fresh ingredients and ensure proper storage and handling.
• Create innovative sushi dishes to enhance menu offerings.
• Monitor ingredient quality and inventory levels, and communicate needs to management.
• Ensure dishes are prepared efficiently and served promptly to maintain quality.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and restaurant policies.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations.
• Keep up-to-date with current food trends and techniques in sushi preparation.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar role in a reputable restaurant or sushi bar.
• Knowledge of traditional and modern sushi techniques.
• Strong knife skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Creativity and passion for Japanese cuisine.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Food safety certification is a plus.
