PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coach and monitor sales team/ Cash Loan Clerks on an ongoing basis to ensure continuous improvement of KPIs, targets, and customer service delivery.
• Conduct formal performance reviews and make recommendations to address any performance gaps.
• Oversee and maintain accurate attendance and vacation records for team members.
• Manage self and team to achieve daily, weekly and monthly sales and revenue targets.
• Identify opportunities to promote loan sales, working closely with the Business Development Officer and Manager Cash Loan Stores.
• Assist the Manager- Cash Loans to develop/execute sales strategies to grow the loan portfolio.
• Adjudicate loans for the Cash Loan Stores and the wider business.
• Assist with review and adjudication of pending applications as necessary, ensuring review within agreed timeframes.
• Interview applicants to determine financial eligibility for personal loans as necessary.
• Ensure loan applications are complete and correct, repayments are calculated accurately, and disbursements are done within agreed timeframes.
• Manage the delinquency on the micro finance portfolio, providing monthly updates on actions taken and results.
• Prepare weekly and monthly Management reports as necessary ensuring accurate and on time submissions.
• Perform any other reasonable and related duties as delegated from time to time by Management.
• Management of cash vault and CSR/cashier till mark off as necessary, ensuring overages and shortages are maintained withtin agreed thresholds.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Degree/Diploma in Business Administration, Accounts, Finance or related discipline would be an asset.
• At least 3 years’ experience in a similar position with an emphasis on new client acquisition, client retention and loan underwriting.
• Experience managing / leading a small team.
