Job Description  

Dwellings Home is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Store Manager to lead the launch and ongoing success of our new San Fernando location. This role offers a unique opportunity to build and shape a high-performing retail team from the ground up, deliver exceptional customer experiences, and drive strong commercial results within a premium retail environment. The Store Manager will oversee store readiness, operational execution, and team leadership while championing service excellence and fostering a motivated, collaborative workplace aligned with the company’s standards and values. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for someone passionate about retail, people development, and business performance.  

Essential Functions 

  1. Exemplify the highest standards of customer service and develop effective selling techniques. Monitor sales, coach, motivate, develop, and challenge staff to increase productivity while delivering excellent customer service. 
  2. Ensures consistent progress of the sales team towards meeting and surpassing set targets. Further, oversees the structure and proper allocation of commission. 
  3. Collaborates with HR to recruit top talent ensuring that the retail team is fully staffed with the right number of people with the right talent to meet expectations. 
  4. Completes employee performance appraisals twice per financial year. 
  5. Holds the store team accountable for delivering and exceeding targeted business performance through providing clear expectations, objective feedback and implementing performance improvement and employee development plans. 
  6. Coordinates with the Customer Experience Manager to orient all store employees with store operations and product knowledge. 
  7. Develops staffing plans and schedules to achieve budgeted sales and maximize manpower output. 
  8. Responsible for communicating all company initiatives that will impact the business and the store team. 
  9. Reports on a scheduled basis, the operational performance of the business with clear and insightful explanations for variances, with corrective actions planned. 
  10. Works with regional buying, and marketing teams to execute plans that deliver and exceed the targeted results. Specifically identifying issues and trends and ensuring that the needs of the organization are being addressed on a timely basis, to meet business objectives.  
  11. Establishes and oversees customer follow-up procedure. Effectively handles and resolves customer grievances. Further, manages brand reputation and ensures all negative customer experiences and publicity are addressed promptly and professionally. 
  12. Identifies and manages high value client relationships, ensuring the company meets and exceeds expectations to deliver maximum return to the organization. Collaborating with and supporting the Design Studio Team as necessary. 
  13. Manages and follows up with clients to settle outstanding accounts receivable balances. 
  14. Provides oversight on the store's merchandising activities, maintaining world class visual merchandising standards, maximizing sales potential. 
  15. Open and close the store as needed, including securing the building, enabling, and disabling the alarms. 
  16. Any additional duties that may be reasonably assigned within the scope of the position. 

Requirements  

  1. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Marketing or other related discipline. 
  2. 5 years + experience in a retail, service related or luxury brand environment, with a demonstrated record of hands-on professional experience including people management, stock control, and the latest retail technology. 
  3. Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales goals and profitability targets. 
  4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth. 
  5. Must have exceptional attention to detail and be highly organized.  
  6. Must be able to work a varied schedule to include occasional nights and weekends, and the entire holiday season (October - December).
