We are seeking a Temporary Statistician/Analyst to provide support to the Yields and HESQ (Health, Environment, Safety & Quality) functions within an industrial operations environment. This one-year role is essential for ensuring accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and effective data management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Process Engineering from a recognized institution

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong data analysis and interpretation skills
  • Solid mathematical aptitude
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
  • Proficient in SharePoint and SAP
  • Working knowledge of Production and HESQ databases
  • Intermediate or higher proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Knowledge and Understanding

  • Local environmental regulations
  • Local health and safety regulations
  • HESQ management system standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001)

Experience

  • Prior experience in a process plant environment will be considered an asset

Key Responsibilities

Yields Support

  • Perform daily and monthly raw material and finished product accounting, including data collection, report generation, and SAP transactions in compliance with internal procedures
  • Prepare multiple reports under strict deadlines, reconcile and investigate discrepancies, analyze inventory variances, and apply work processes to resolve issues
  • Ensure availability on the first day of each month for data collection to meet reporting requirements

HESQ Support

  • Manage data input and maintain organizational lists for permits, TOPS/HOPS, and PROs Self-Assessment Status
  • Develop PowerPoint content for HESQ initiatives, including Shared Learning and Near Misses
  • Compile and assimilate weekly and monthly HESQ reports within prescribed timelines
