Stanmark Processors Company Limited (SMP) is a manufacturer and distributor of processed food. We currently operate three (3) factories and one (1) warehouse and have a head office in Kingston. Our locations are as follows:
Head Office- 10 Eureka Cresent
Flagship Manufacturing Location- Stanmark East -Surry Ave, Yallahs St. Thomas
2nd Manufacturing Location- Stanmark West- Darliston, Westomoreland
3rd Manufacturing Location- Stanmark Central-Morgans Pass, Clarendon
SMP distributes its merchandise to wholesalers, distributors, hotels and supermarkets island wide. Stanmark’s main business is in exports. We manufacture, co-pack and resell a variety of products to the USA, Canada and United Kingdom and the U.S.A. We offer consolidation services to our customers that allow us to require some products that are not in our product line.
SMP East was founded as Fletcher Bowman Ltd., in the late 1960’s. In 1991, Meera Manufacturing Co. Ltd. (SMP’s holding company) purchased SMP and since June 28, 2002 the name of the processing plant was changed to Stanmark Processors Company Limited.
Stanmark manufactures canned ackees, callaloo, breadfruit, fruit juices, mango slices, whole mangos, jerk seasonings and sauces under its labels ‘Plaza,’ ‘Island Sun’ and ‘Stanmark’ Labels. SMP received HACCP approval to ship its ackees into the US market by the USA Food and Drug in 2007 and by the Jamaica Bureau of Standards and process food exception recognition system since July 2008.
