Senior Rigging Technician

Position Available: Accepting Applicants from within the Region

We are currently seeking a Senior Rigging Technician to join our prestigious organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading all rigging operations, ensuring the safe and effective installation of overhead systems, and supervising rigging crews across a wide range of events.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Oversee and execute rigging operations for lighting, audio, video, and staging equipment in line with safety standards and event specifications.

• Supervise and mentor junior rigging staff, ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently.

• Collaborate with production and technical teams to develop rigging plans and load calculations.

• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of rigging equipment and maintain accurate inventory records.

• Liaise with clients and venue personnel to ensure rigging requirements are clearly understood and met.

• Perform administrative and other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• Certification in Rigging or equivalent technical training is strongly preferred.

• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage rigging teams in high-pressure environments.

• Minimum five years of supervisory experience in:

  • Corporate and Large-Scale Events

  • Truss and Motor Configurations

  • Load Ratings and Safety Compliance

• Minimum ten years of hands-on experience in:

  • Overhead Rigging and Roof Systems

  • Hoists, Motors, and Suspension Systems

  • Staging and Lighting Installations

• Familiarity with industry safety standards and best practices (OSHA/ANSI/ETCP).

• Comfortable working at height and in physically demanding conditions.

• Experience in warehouse operations including equipment prep and post-event returns.

• Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.

• Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and maintain a high level of attention to detail.

• Broad understanding of event production, with the ability to align rigging functions with overall project goals.

• Must be prepared to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Travel may be required for off-site events.
