Sr. Auditor/Accountant - Insurance

Recruiting a Senior Auditor / Accountant – Insurance to conduct financial reviews, solvency analysis, and risk assessments within a Bermuda-based financial services environment. Requires a relevant degree and 3+ years’ experience in insurance, audit, or financial services.

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Senior Auditor / Accountant – Insurance to support financial review, risk analysis, and oversight activities within a Bermuda-based financial services environment.

This role involves analysing insurance and reinsurance entities through financial assessments, solvency evaluation, and compliance-focused reviews, contributing to strong governance and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed reviews of insurance and reinsurance businesses, including financial and operational assessments
• Analyse statutory returns, capital adequacy, and solvency positions
• Apply risk assessment methodologies to evaluate governance, controls, and compliance practices
• Identify risk issues and prepare written reports with findings and recommendations
• Participate in stakeholder meetings to discuss review outcomes and action plans
• Monitor industry developments, accounting standards, and market trends within the insurance sector
• Follow up on identified risk matters and support ongoing monitoring activities
• Assist with application reviews, projects, and additional analytical assignments as required

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Insurance, Actuarial Science, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years’ experience within insurance, reinsurance, audit, or financial services
• Strong financial analysis and reporting review experience
• Ability to interpret financial statements, capital models, and risk indicators
