Software Testing Engineer - Consultant

• Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for mobile, web, and OTT applications. • Perform hands-on testing and debugging on OTT platforms such as tvOS, Roku, Apple TV (ATV), and Fire TV (FTV).

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for mobile, web, and OTT applications.
• Conduct comprehensive functional, regression compatibility testing across various devices and platforms.
• Perform hands-on testing and debugging on OTT platforms such as tvOS, Roku, Apple TV (ATV), and Fire TV (FTV).
• Identify, document, and track bugs using tools like JIRA or Bugzilla.
• Collaborate with developers, designers, and product teams to understand requirements and align testing efforts.
• Use debugging tools like Charles Proxy, Chrome DevTools, and Safari Web Inspector for network and UI troubleshooting.
• Leverage Xcode for iOS and Android Studio for Android app testing and debugging.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide regular updates on testing progress and blockers.
• Ensure high-quality releases with a strong focus on performance, usability, and device coverage.

Required Skills:

• Proven, hands-on experience in mobile (iOS/Android), web, and OTT testing.
• Strong working knowledge of OTT platforms such as tvOS, Roku, Apple TV (ATV), and Fire TV (FTV).
• Experience with Charles Proxy, browser developer tools (Chrome/Safari DevTools), Xcode, and Android Studio.
• Familiarity with cross-browser, responsive, and cross-device testing.
• Proficiency in defect tracking tools like JIRA 
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Prior experience in the OTT streaming/media domain is highly desirable.
