Job Description – Social Media Manager

Position Summary

876Stream is a leading sports and entertainment digital media company, dedicated to showcasing Jamaican and Caribbean sports culture to the world. We are seeking a Social Media Manager to oversee and grow our presence across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and X/Twitter. This role requires creativity, speed, and cultural fluency in sports and entertainment, particularly football, track & field, and lifestyle-driven content.

The Social Media Manager will be responsible for content strategy, community engagement, analytics, and campaign execution, working closely with production, sponsorship, and editorial teams to ensure 876Stream becomes the go-to digital destination for fans.

Key Responsibilities

Content Strategy & Execution

- Develop and manage 876Stream’s social media content calendar aligned with live sports events, fan culture, and key moments.
- Create, curate, and publish engaging, real-time content (posts, stories, reels, shorts, memes, highlights, graphics).
- Collaborate with video editors, designers, and writers to deliver platform-optimized content.

Community Engagement

- Monitor fan conversations and engage directly with followers to build a loyal community.
- Respond to comments, DMs, and trending conversations in real time.
- Build partnerships with influencers, athletes, and fan accounts to amplify reach.

Analytics & Optimization

- Track KPIs such as engagement rate, follower growth, reach, and conversions.
- Analyze performance to optimize posting times, formats, and strategies per platform.
- Provide regular reporting to management and sponsors on social impact.

Sponsorship & Revenue Support

- Integrate sponsor messaging into social content while maintaining authenticity.
- Deliver creative concepts and reports for sponsored campaigns.
- Collaborate with sales/partnerships team to maximize digital sponsorship value.

Innovation & Trends

- Stay ahead of social media trends, sports memes, and new platform features.
- Experiment with formats like TikTok challenges, live streams, and interactive polls.
- Push creative boundaries to ensure 876Stream remains fresh, relevant, and engaging.

Qualifications & Skills

- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or related field (preferred).
- 3+ years of social media management experience (sports/entertainment industry is a plus).
- Strong understanding of Jamaican and global sports culture.
- Proven ability to grow and engage large social media audiences.
- Excellent copywriting, storytelling, and creative skills.
- Proficiency with social media analytics tools (Meta Insights, YouTube Studio, TikTok Analytics, etc.).
- Video editing and graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Suite, CapCut) a plus.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, live-event environments.

KPIs for Success

- Monthly follower growth across platforms.
- Engagement rate per post and average video watch time.
- Number of trending posts/memes created monthly.
- Response time to fan interactions and comments.
- Successful integration and performance of sponsored content.
- Social-driven conversions (app downloads, ticket sales, live stream views).
