Position Summary

The Site Manager is responsible for overseeing janitorial operations at a designated client site, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer satisfaction. The role includes managing cleaning staff, maintaining equipment and supplies, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and serving as the primary point of contact for the client.

Key Responsibilities

1. Staff Management

  • Supervise, train, and schedule cleaning staff on site.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and recommend personnel actions.
  • Ensure staff adhere to company policies, attendance expectations, and grooming standards.

2. Operational Oversight

  • Monitor and ensure high-quality cleaning and sanitizing of assigned areas.
  • Conduct routine inspections and take corrective actions as necessary.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; submit purchase requests as needed.

3. Client Relations

  • Act as a key liaison between the company and the client at the site
  • Respond promptly to client inquiries and concerns.
  • Attend regular client meetings and provide updates on site performance to the Operations Manager

4. Compliance and Safety

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, uniform and general acceptable appearance
  • Train staff in proper cleaning techniques, chemical handling, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Investigate and report incidents or accidents on site.

5. Reporting and Documentation

  • Maintain records of inspections, employee attendance, incidents, and supply usage.
  • Submit weekly/monthly reports to Operations Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Ass. degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years’ supervisory experience in janitorial or facility management.
  • Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage a team and work independently.
  • Basic computer skills (email, MS Excel, reporting software).

Working Conditions

  • Physically active role with regular walking, standing, and occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs.).
  • May require evening, weekend, or holiday work depending on site needs.
