Shift Leader - Plant Cleaning Operation

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Leader to oversee our plant cleaning operations. The Shift Leader will be responsible for leading a team of cleaning staff, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment within our facility, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness. This role involves managing day-to-day operations, coordinating schedules, and implementing cleaning protocols to meet regulatory standards.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Supervisory Role:

   - Lead, train, and supervise a team of cleaning personnel.

   - Schedule and organize shift assignments effectively.

   - Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and address any issues that arise.

 

Operations Management:

   - Oversee and execute cleaning procedures in various areas of the plant.

   - Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.

   - Conduct regular inspections to maintain cleanliness standards.

 

Inventory and Supplies:

   - Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.

   - Coordinate with procurement for timely supply orders.

   - Maintain records of inventory levels and usage.

 

Quality Assurance:

   - Implement and enforce cleaning standards and best practices.

   - Conduct quality checks to ensure adherence to established protocols.

   - Address any deficiencies promptly and efficiently.

 

Communication and Reporting:

   - Collaborate with management to communicate any operational issues or improvements.

   - Prepare regular reports on cleaning activities, including performance metrics.

 

Safety and Compliance:

   - Ensure staff compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

   - Identify and address potential safety hazards promptly.

   - Participate in training sessions related to safety and compliance.

 

Requirements:

 

- Proven experience (2 years) in a supervisory role within a cleaning or industrial environment.

- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, chemicals, and equipment.

- Strong leadership and communication skills.

- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.

- Understanding of safety regulations and protocols.
