Senior Web Developer

Full-Time | Remote | Experiment to Grow

About Experiment to Grow

Experiment to Grow is a conversion strategy and performance marketing startup helping multi-location brands grow through clarity, not guesswork.

We’re building a new kind of marketing company, one that blends behavioral psychology, experimentation, and data-driven proof to uncover what truly moves people to take the desired action.

We’re early in our journey but operate with the rigor of a mature firm: structured frameworks, high standards, and a relentless focus on performance.

Our goal is simple, to become the most trusted growth partner for teams who want reliable, evidence-based results.

Role Overview

We’re hiring a Senior Web Developer to lead the build, optimization, and technical performance of our client websites and landing experiences.

This role is perfect for a developer who thrives on ownership, speed, and building clean, scalable solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.

You’ll partner closely with our Digital Advertising & Conversion Specialist and Strategy team to ensure that every site is fast, reliable, and built to convert.

You’re not just coding pages, you’re engineering performance systems that help brands grow.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Architecture & Development

  • Architect modular, scalable web systems using Next.js, React, or advanced WordPress stacks (Elementor Pro + custom components).

  • Build robust integrations between front-end frameworks, APIs, and marketing automation systems.

  • Lead codebase standards: component reusability, CI/CD pipelines, and Git workflow.

  • Implement secure, high-performing hosting setups (e.g., Vercel, AWS, Cloudflare, WP Engine).

Performance & Infrastructure Engineering

  • Own technical SEO, site speed, caching, and CDN performance across all client sites.

  • Audit and optimize Core Web Vitals, Lighthouse scores, and infrastructure uptime.

  • Implement monitoring and error tracking systems (e.g., Sentry, LogRocket).

Data, Analytics & Experimentation

  • Integrate GA4, GTM, Meta Pixel, custom event tracking, and data layers across experiences.

  • Develop frameworks for A/B testing, personalization, and conversion event tracking.

  • Ensure every build supports experimentation and data-driven iteration.

Collaboration & Quality Standards

  • Translate strategic hypotheses into executable technical sprints.

  • Collaborate with designers, conversion strategists, and growth analysts.

  • Set QA protocols, deployment workflows, and code review standards.

  • Document reusable technical systems and frameworks for cross-team adoption.

What You Bring

  • 6+ years of experience as a web developer or software engineer

  • Expert-level proficiency in WordPress, Elementor, PHP, JavaScript (React or Next.js a plus)

  • Strong understanding of front-end performance, accessibility, and responsive design

  • Experience integrating GA4, GTM, and Meta/Google pixels

  • Familiarity with CRO tools (Google Optimize, Convert, VWO)

  • Proven ability to collaborate with marketing and design teams to achieve measurable performance results

  • Strong version control (Git) and deployment workflow experience

Who You Are

  • You’re an engineer who understands that speed, structure, and user experience are growth levers.

  • You think in systems, not one-off builds.

  • You value precision, performance, and scalability over shortcuts.

  • You take ownership when you ship something, it works, and it performs.

  • You thrive in a startup environment where quality and reliability are your reputation.

Compensation

  • Performance Bonus: Quarterly incentives tied to delivery speed, site performance, and reliability metrics
