About the Role

Our team is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to support a major offshore facilities development project. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing structural engineering activities, ensuring design integrity, and guiding contractor performance throughout all project phases.

You will act as a technical authority for structural engineering, contributing to design reviews, verification activities, and engineering standards, while ensuring full regulatory and safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all structural engineering activities for the project.
• Review and verify contractor engineering work, ensuring compliance with project standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide expertise on steel structures, jacket foundations, stability, and structural integrity.
• Participate in project risk assessments, technical reviews, and management of change processes.
• Ensure structural design assumptions, methodologies, and software tools used by contractors are accurate and up to date.
• Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams including SURF, Drilling & Wells, FPSO, HSE, and subsurface groups.
• Conduct site and contractor visits as needed to support project milestones and ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Structural Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in structural design engineering within the oil & gas or heavy industrial sector.
• Strong background in steel structure design, jacket structures, foundation design, and stability analysis.
• Experience with feasibility, conceptual engineering, and detailed design phases.
• Proficient in finite element modeling and structural analysis software.
• Strong understanding of international and local engineering codes and standards.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
• English fluency required; Spanish proficiency is an asset.
