We're hiring a Senior Sales Supervisor
The Senior Sales Supervisor is responsible for leading the sales floor team, ensuring exceptional customer service, maximizing sales, and supporting the daily operations of the hardware store. This role involves supervising sales associates, assisting with inventory control, merchandising, and working collaboratively with other departments to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Sales Management & Customer Service:
Lead by example to drive sales and provide outstanding customer service.
Support the implementation of sales strategies to achieve store targets.
Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and ensure prompt resolution.
Monitor and improve the overall shopping experience for walk-in and returning customers.
Team Supervision & Training:
Supervise daily activities of Sales Associates on the shop floor.
Assign duties, monitor performance, and ensure accountability.
Mentor and train new hires and junior sales staff on products, store procedures, and customer service protocols.
Inventory & Merchandising:
Ensure shelves are properly stocked and products are attractively merchandised.
Coordinate with warehouse and purchasing teams for timely restocking.
Support monthly stock counts and help maintain inventory accuracy.
Reporting & Documentation:
Monitor daily sales and prepare reports for management.
Track team performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Assist in implementing promotional campaigns and seasonal sales events.
Compliance & Store Operations:
Ensure adherence to company policies and safety protocols.
Support opening and closing procedures of the store.
Maintain a clean, organized, and customer-friendly sales floor.
Associate Degree or Diploma in Business, Sales, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in a hardware or retail environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
Strong understanding of hardware and building materials (an asset).
Proven leadership and team-building abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Sales-driven mindset with customer-first attitude.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Familiarity with POS systems and basic computer applications.
On-site role with standing, walking, and occasional lifting required.
Flexible hours including weekends and public holidays, depending on store needs.
