JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE:                  Senior Sales & Marketing Co-ordinator

ROLE PURPOSE

The Senior Sales & Marketing Co-ordinator supports and strengthens Alrogo Enterprises Limited’s sales and marketing operations (locally and internationally) by coordinating sales activities, managing key customer and distributor relationships, supporting business development initiatives, and providing structured sales reporting and analysis.

The role bridges field sales, finance, inventory, logistics, marketing, and export coordination, ensuring that sales and marketing activities are commercially sound, well-documented, and aligned with Company policies, systems, and growth objectives, with appropriate visibility to the Managing Director.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Sales Operations & Coordination

  • Coordinate day-to-day sales activities, including order flow, customer follow-ups, pricing support, and sales documentation.
  • Supervise and support the Sales Co-ordinator and Sales Administration Team to ensure accurate and timely execution of sales processes.
  • Support Sales Representatives and Merchandisers with accurate sales data, schedules, and customer information.
  • Ensure sales processes align with approved procedures, credit terms, pricing structures, and internal controls.
  • Act as a central coordination point between Sales, Finance, Inventory, Logistics, and Marketing.

 2. Customer, Supermarket & Distribution Support

  • Manage and support relationships with key customers, supermarkets, wholesalers, and distributors.
  • Apply strong working knowledge of supermarket and distribution trade practices in Trinidad and Tobago, including promotions, listings, service levels, and supply expectations.
  • Support onboarding of new customers and distributors, ensuring documentation, pricing, and system setup are complete.
  • Manage and resolve customer queries, issues, and escalations in a professional and timely manner, escalating material matters to the Managing Director where appropriate.

 3. Business Development Support

  • Support business development initiatives, including identifying new customers, channels, and market opportunities.
  • Assist in the preparation of quotations, proposals, presentations, and commercial submissions.
  • Coordinate sales-related marketing activities and inputs in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Participate in market research and analysis to support expansion, brand visibility, and product placement decisions.
  • Maintain structured records of leads, opportunities, and follow-up actions for management review.

 4. Export Sales Support

  • Coordinate and support export sales activities, including distributor communication, documentation, and order tracking.
  • Assist with export-related pricing support, product listings, and basic compliance documentation as required.
  • Coordinate internally to ensure export orders align with production planning, inventory availability, and logistics capability.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports relating to export sales performance and activity for management reporting.

 5. Sales Reporting, Systems & Controls

  • Prepare and maintain accurate sales reports, summaries, forecasts, and performance trackers.
  • Analyse sales data to support management decision-making, performance monitoring, and planning.
  • Ensure accurate capture and maintenance of sales data within Company systems.
  • Utilise Microsoft Excel and PeachTree / Sage 50 (Peach 3) effectively to support sales and financial coordination.
  • Maintain audit-ready sales and marketing documentation and records.

 6. Governance, Compliance & Professional Standards

  • Ensure all sales and marketing activities comply with Company policies, confidentiality obligations, and HSSEQ standards where applicable.
  • Uphold professional standards, integrity, and discretion in all internal and external interactions.
  • Escalate material commercial risks, customer issues, or export-related matters to the Managing Director in a timely and structured manner.

 

 

 

REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

 Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, International Business, Business Administration or equivalent
  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience in a senior sales, sales coordination, or commercial support role.
  • Proven experience working with supermarkets, distributors, and wholesale customers in Trinidad and Tobago.
  • Demonstrated business development support experience.
  • Export sales exposure or experience is required.
  • Relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal tertiary qualifications.
  • Proven Skills in business development is an asset

 Technical & Professional Skills

  • Strong understanding of supermarket, wholesale, and distribution sales.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reporting, tracking, and analysis.
  • Working knowledge of PeachTree / Sage 50 or similar accounting systems.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to interpret sales and performance data.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate effectively across departments.

  • Commercially minded with strong attention to accuracy and detail.
