Job Profile

The Senior Project Engineer will be responsible for the development of conceptual, preliminary and detailed engineering designs, contract administration and site supervision of infrastructure projects in accordance with the relevant Codes and Standards for the related works.

The successful candidate will report to the Director of Engineering and lead the design team on NOWAL’s projects.

Candidates are required to have the following qualification and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.
• A master’s degree in Water Resources or Environmental Engineering from a recognized institution would be an asset
• At least 5 years relevant post graduate experience in the design and contract administration of civil infrastructure works
• Registered as a Professional Engineer or eligibility to obtain registration.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, including, geotechnical engineering, hydrology, and hydraulics and municipal engineering
• Proficient in the use of civil design software Civil 3D, EPANET, AutoCAD, HEC-RAS, EPA-SWMM, etc.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative, prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Must own a reliable motor vehicle.
• Must be willing to travel locally for the purposes of the position.
