MAYBERRY INVESTMENTS LIMITED “Transforming lives positively through lasting relationships” Senior Product Owner Position Summary We’re seeking a results-driven Senior Product Owner to join our dynamic technology team. Reporting to the IT Infrastructure Manager, this role provides strategic leadership in the management of software applications that support core business operations. The ideal candidate will manage the product lifecycle, oversee external development teams, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver continuous improvements. This position requires strong product management expertise, agile methodology experience, and a passion for driving business process enhancements through technology. Key Responsibilities - Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define and maintain a product roadmap aligned with organizational goals, market trends, and business priorities.
- Application Development Management: Manage external development teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient application maintenance and upgrades.
- Business Process Improvement: Conduct workflow analyses and recommend system enhancements to improve operational efficiency.
- Agile Project Management: Lead sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and Agile ceremonies in alignment with SAFe Agile methodology.
- Requirements Documentation: Gather, document, and communicate business system requirements, ensuring alignment and formal sign-off.
- Tool Utilization & Training: Leverage platforms like Azure DevOps, MIRO, Jira, and analytics tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) to track progress and support data-driven decision-making.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor product performance metrics and implement enhancements based on insights.
- Standard Operating Procedures: Develop and manage SOPs for system development, upgrades, and change management processes.
- Facilitate Collaboration: Coordinate meetings between developers, vendors, and internal teams, while keeping all parties informed and engaged.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Competencies - BSc in Computer Science and Management or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar Product Owner or business application management role.
- Specialized training in Business Analysis, Product Ownership, or Project Management is an asset.
- Broad knowledge of business process engineering, application development, and system design.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, Agile frameworks, and CI/CD processes.
- Proficient in tools such as Azure DevOps, MIRO, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with analytics platforms like Tableau, Power BI.
- Familiarity with collaborative design tools such as Figma is an advantage.
- Strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills.
- Excellent technical writing, negotiation, and project management abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Proactive, solution-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
