Our client is currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Microsoft Cloud & Data Platform Engineer to take ownership of their Microsoft ecosystem and drive key cloud, infrastructure, automation, and data platform initiatives forward.

JOB OVERVIEW:

This role is critical in ensuring stability, scalability, performance, and modernization of the organization’s technology and data environments across multiple business divisions.

This is a hands-on technical engineering role requiring direct involvement in implementation, configuration, troubleshooting, optimization, and support of Microsoft cloud, infrastructure, and data platform technologies. The successful candidate must be comfortable operating both strategically and technically, with the ability to execute projects directly while coordinating vendors and supporting junior technical resources where required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Cloud & Infrastructure Engineering

  • Perform hands-on deployment, configuration, administration, and optimization of Microsoft cloud and infrastructure solutions.
  • Lead the administration and optimization of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Intune.
  • Manage and support Azure cloud infrastructure, including virtual machines, storage, networking, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Maintain hybrid infrastructure environments including on-premises and cloud-based systems.
  • Administer Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory), Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and identity/access management solutions.
  • Manage endpoint configuration, device compliance, and mobile device management through Microsoft Intune and related tools.
  • Ensure high availability, performance, operational reliability, and scalability of infrastructure systems and services.
  • Develop automation scripts and operational efficiencies using PowerShell and related technologies.
  • Troubleshoot complex cloud, infrastructure, networking, identity, and systems-related issues.
  • Execute infrastructure upgrades, cloud migrations, and modernization initiatives.

Data Platform & Microsoft Fabric

  • Implement, administer, and optimize Microsoft Fabric and related Microsoft data platform technologies.
  • Support the integration of enterprise systems, cloud services, and data sources into centralized analytics and reporting environments.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and developers to support data warehousing, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives.
  • Monitor and maintain data pipelines, dataflows, and cloud-based data services.
  • Support data governance, access controls, and operational standards within the data platform environment.
  • Assist in enabling self-service analytics and reporting capabilities across business units.
  • Work with Power BI, Fabric workspaces, and Azure data services to support enterprise reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Support integration efforts between enterprise systems, cloud platforms, and analytics environments.

Technical Leadership & Innovation

  • Design, implement, and optimize infrastructure modernization and cloud transformation initiatives.
  • Contribute technical expertise to infrastructure, cloud, and data platform strategy planning.
  • Evaluate emerging Microsoft technologies and recommend improvements aligned with business objectives.
  • Participate in IT project planning, implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor junior IT staff and promote technical best practices across the organization.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of hands-on experience in Microsoft infrastructure, cloud engineering, or enterprise data platform administration.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration and Azure cloud services.
  • Experience managing enterprise Windows Server environments and hybrid infrastructure.
  • Strong engineering and implementation experience in Microsoft cloud and enterprise infrastructure environments.
  • Proven ability to independently deploy, configure, troubleshoot, and optimize enterprise technology solutions.
  • Experience executing cloud migrations, infrastructure upgrades, and Microsoft platform implementations.
  • Experience supporting enterprise data platforms, analytics environments, or business intelligence solutions is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Azure Data Services, or enterprise reporting environments is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with infrastructure monitoring, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
  • Microsoft certifications such as Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, Microsoft 365 Administrator, Fabric Analytics Engineer, Security Administrator, or equivalent certifications are highly preferred.  

 SALARY RANGE: US$4,500.00 per month
