Senior Manager, Operations and Logistics

The Senior Manager, Operations & Logistics, is responsible for providing strategic leadership, direction, and oversight of the Company's distribution network across the island. The incumbent will lead and optimize Distribution Centre operations to ensure efficient product movement, exceptional customer service, cost-effective execution, and alignment with the Company's operational objectives. The role will directly oversee Distribution Centre Managers, driving operational excellence, standardization, continuous improvement, and capability development across all locations. 

Major Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight for Distribution Centre operations across multiple locations, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Develop and execute operational strategies that enhance service levels, productivity, efficiency, and profitability across the distribution network.
• Drive operational excellence through standardized processes, continuous improvement initiatives, and best-practice implementation.
• Oversee warehouse, inventory, dispatch, transportation, and distribution activities to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
• Lead and develop Distribution Centre Managers, fostering a high-performance culture through coaching, accountability, succession planning, and talent development.
• Manage operational budgets, monitor performance metrics, and identify opportunities for cost savings, productivity gains, and process improvements.
• Collaborate with commercial teams, parent company stakeholders, and third-party partners to ensure operational capabilities support business requirements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and health and safety standards while championing risk management and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline. 
• Master's degree in business administration (MBA) or Supply Chain Management would be an asset.
•  Minimum of 10 years' progressive experience in logistics, distribution, warehousing, or supply chain operations.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience leading multiple operational sites 
• Proven experience managing large teams through multiple levels of leadership.
• Demonstrated success in driving operational excellence, process improvement, and cost optimization initiatives.
• Experience within FMCG, beverage, distribution, manufacturing, or logistics environments would be highly desirable.
