Role purpose

The Senior Human Resource Lead provides leadership and hands-on management of the HR function across two companies. The role strengthens people practices, ensures compliance, supports performance and productivity, and builds a positive workplace culture. This position partners closely with leadership and line managers to deliver consistent HR operations, fair employee relations, and effective talent management.

 

Key Responsibilities

HR Leadership and HR Operations

  • Lead day-to-day HR operations across both companies, ensuring consistency, confidentiality and high service standards.
  • Maintain and continuously improve HR systems, processes, templates and tools (including policies, letters, forms, checklists and trackers).
  • Ensure accurate employee records, HR files and reporting, with strict control over sensitive and confidential information.
  • Provide HR guidance to managers and supervisors on people-related matters and best practices.

 

Recruitment, Onboarding, and Workforce Planning

  • Coordinate workforce planning with leaders to anticipate staffing needs and ensure business continuity.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment: role scoping, job postings, screening, interviews, selection support, offers and onboarding.
  • Ensure onboarding is structured and compliant, including required documentation, orientation and probationary processes.

 

Performance management and employee development

  • Coordinate performance management processes, supporting managers with goal-setting, feedback, documentation and review cycles.
  • Support training and development initiatives, including supervisor capability-building, employee upskilling and succession planning.
  • Promote employee engagement activities that support morale, teamwork, and retention.

 

Employee relations, discipline, and investigations

  • Manage employee relations matters, including grievances, conflict resolution, disciplinary procedures, and investigations.
  • Ensure fairness, consistency, and proper documentation across all employee relations actions.
  • Provide coaching to managers on effective communication, corrective action procedures, and documentation standards.

 

Compensation, benefits, attendance, and leave management

  • Administer HR components of compensation and benefits, and coordinate payroll-related HR inputs with Finance.
  • Oversee attendance management and leave administration, ensuring accurate records and adherence to policy.
  • Support employee welfare and general workplace wellbeing initiatives.

 

Compliance, policy, and reporting

  • Maintain and update HR policies and procedures, and ensure consistent implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws and internal requirements to mitigate organisational risk.
  • Prepare HR reports and dashboards for leadership, highlighting trends and recommendations.

 

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Management, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum five (5) years of HR experience, with demonstrated responsibility across core HR functions.
  • Strong working knowledge of labour laws and HR best practices.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with HR systems or HRIS is desirable.
