Our client, the Financial Services Commission, the leader in regulation and supervision in the region, is seeking a forward-thinking and innovative HR and IR leader.
The ideal candidate should be a strategic thinker who proactively drives organisational transformation, champions change management and fosters a culture of continuous improvement. This leader will provide effective and strategic support to the business, ensuring that HR initiatives are aligned with the Commission’s long-term vision, and will be instrumental in shaping a dynamic, agile, and future-ready workforce.
The Role
Reporting to the Deputy Executive Director, this position is responsible for implementing HR policies and systems to meet corporate goals, ensuring positive industrial relations, and overseeing the work environment as follows:
- Align HR strategy with business goals by implementing effective change management practices and collaborating closely with executive leadership.
- Lead workforce planning and staffing analysis to prepare for future needs.
- Oversee talent management, succession planning, and employee development.
- Provide actionable HR insights and deliver timely, relevant reports to empower management decision-making.
- Shape and optimise the organisational structure to support and advance the strategic objectives.
- Overseeing all aspects of industrial relations, including trade union negotiations, disciplinary proceedings, conciliation, and ensuring compliance with labor laws.
Preferred Profile
- Masters Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent qualification.
- At least 10 years' experience of which 7 years should be at the leadership level.
- At least 3 years' experience successfully handling union negotiations.
- Confident communicator with a high level of professionalism, self-motivation and a sense of urgency on deliverables, who performs well under pressure.
- Professional certifications (e.g., SPHR, CIPD) are a plus.
- Sound knowledge of the relevant labour laws and industrial relations conventions.
- Competent in using productivity tools, software applications, spreadsheets and databases.
