The company is currently seeking suitable candidates to fill this position. The selected individual will be responsible for providing legal and technical guidance to the claims department.
Identify legal issues, draft coverage opinions, and approve claim denials.
Direct external counsel; prepare briefs; and monitor pleadings, and discovery.
Identify tortfeasors, negotiate lien reductions, issue demand letters, and file small claims actions when cost-effective.
Train adjusters on evidence preservation, legal privilege, and maintaining defensible claim documentation.
Ensure timely and appropriate resolution of claim settlements.
Investigate complex claims and resolve coverage disputes as appropriate.
Ensure all claims are handled fairly, efficiently, and in compliance with legal requirements and internal policies.
Liaise with policyholders, legal representatives, and other stakeholders to achieve fair claim resolutions.
Analyze claims data to identify trends, evaluate performance, and recommend process improvements.
Contribute to the preparation of monthly management reports.
Performs other related duties as required.
