Senior Business Analyst - Strategy
Overview:
The Senior Analyst - Strategy works closely with the Group Chief Executive Officer, Executive Leadership Team to support enterprise growth, execution of strategic initiatives, capital allocation, and long-term value creation.
You will provide high-quality strategic, financial, and operational analysis support to inform executive decision-making, with a particular focus on alternative investment strategies, acquisitions, and scalable growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide independent, data-driven insights to the CEO and senior leadership on strategic priorities, capital deployment, product performance and overall business performance.
- Support end-to-end project management of priority strategic initiatives across the Group (e.g., acquisitions, fund-raising, new business lines, digital transformation initiatives, operational restructures, market expansion projects).
- Monitor project milestones, budgets, dependencies, and risks; proactively escalate issues to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team as required.
- Implement structured governance frameworks, reporting cadence, and KPI tracking mechanisms to ensure measurable impact.
- Conduct industry, and competitive analysis to identify growth themes and consolidation opportunities including new asset classes, product, new markets, etc.
- Work with the CEO and executives to refine, designing, implement and tracking KPIs, across relevant business lines to drive high performance and value.
- Support the analysis of group-wide financial and operational performance, including cost structures and capital efficiency
- Facilitate strategic planning sessions and coordinate the planning and execution of Group strategic retreats.
- Track post-implementation performance of major initiatives to ensure delivery of expected financial and strategic returns.
- Assist the CEO with the preparation of reports including those for Boards and Shareholders.
- Communicate complex financial and strategic insights clearly to senior stakeholders.
- Contribute to cross-functional initiatives or teams and perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the CEO or Board.
Relevant Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- Master’s degree or MBA in Finance, Business, Economics, Strategy, or related discipline,
- Professional certifications such as CFA, ACCA, CPA, etc., are an asset.
- Formal project management training or certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) is an asset.
- Minimum of (4) years post-qualification experience in Strategy, Investment Banking, Financial Analysis, Consulting, Advisory, Private Equity or investment-related roles.
- Experience supporting senior management and/or Board-level stakeholders is required.
- Advanced financial analysis, valuation and modelling skills.
- Solid understanding of business strategy, capital allocation, project management and enterprise value creation.
- Structured project management skills, including planning, risk management, and execution oversight.
- Ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills at Executive and Board level.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, written, organization and presentation skills.
- High degree of integrity, entrepreneurial spirit, innovative inclination, and strong work ethic.
