Job Title: Senior Audio-Visual Solutions Specialist
Location: Port of Spain
Reports to: Managing Director
This role leads the design, delivery, and optimization of advanced audio-visual solutions for both customers and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise in AV systems, collaboration platforms, and broadcast technologies with consultative customer engagement and full ownership of solution delivery. This ensures high-quality events, repeatable deployments, and measurable business value. The position involves both office-based and field-based work.
Customer Engagement and Discovery
Conduct technical workshops and site surveys, and translate business needs into AV solution requirements, success metrics, and acceptance criteria.
Solution Architecture and Commercialization
Design AV systems, block diagrams, bills of materials (BOMs), and total cost of ownership (TCO) / return on investment (ROI) estimates. Support fixed installations, events, hybrid meeting spaces, and managed AV services.
Presales Support and Demonstrations
Develop demonstrations, proofs of concept, and showreels. Prepare technical responses for RFPs and collaborate closely with the sales team.
Project Delivery and Implementation
Lead installation, integration, commissioning, calibration, and testing activities. Manage timelines, resources, and third-party vendors.
Implementation Guidance
Coordinate internal teams and external vendors to ensure milestones, quality standards, and acceptance criteria are achieved.
Operational Handover and Adoption
Oversee the transition to operations and managed services, conduct enablement sessions, and monitor adoption metrics.
System Maintenance and Lifecycle Management
Define maintenance schedules and manage firmware, patches, spare parts, and system refresh plans.
Standards, Documentation, and Governance
Maintain system standards, schematics, cable schedules, rack elevations, and as-built documentation.
Monthly Reporting and Insights
Provide monthly reports on project status, incidents, AV asset utilization, service revenues, warranty claims, and improvement recommendations.
Risk, Compliance, and Continuous Improvement
Identify technical and commercial risks, develop mitigation strategies, ensure compliance, and support continuous team upskilling.
Bachelor’s degree in Audio-Visual Technology, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
Relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in audio-visual systems design, installation, and support
Experience with conference rooms, events, and collaboration systems
Proven experience working directly with clients and managing AV projects
Strong knowledge of AV equipment and systems, including audio, video, control systems, and conferencing solutions
Strong troubleshooting and problem-resolution skills
Familiarity with hybrid meeting spaces, live events, and fixed AV installations
Strong communication and customer-service skills
Ability to translate client needs into effective technical solutions
Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills
