Senior Associate – Corporate Department

Overview:

A reputable law firm is seeking a highly motivated Senior Associate to join its Corporate Department. The successful candidate will provide high-quality legal and corporate services, support firm operations, and contribute to business development initiatives.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver corporate and commercial legal advice and manage client matters efficiently.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain corporate and legal documentation.
  • Support corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with regulators, registries, and government agencies.
  • Track deadlines, compliance obligations, and key performance indicators.
  • Assist with billing, timekeeping, and financial coordination.
  • Mentor junior team members and support departmental leadership.
  • Participate in networking, business development, and professional initiatives.

 Qualifications & Experience Requirements:

  • LLB (or equivalent) and admission to practice at the Barbados Bar.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and MS Office applications.
  • Experience in a corporate or structured legal environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory frameworks is an asset.
