The Senior Accountant, Revenue is responsible for overseeing the revenue accounting, recognition, and assurance processes within the Finance Shared Services organization. This role ensures accurate reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and optimization of revenue streams within each reporting entity of the ATN International Island Markets. The Senior Accountant, Revenue collaborates with cross-functional teams, including Billing, Commercial, and Financial Planning & Analysis, to drive revenue growth and integrity
CRITERIA
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, ACA or CIMA) is a requirement.
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in financial accounting, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role within a shared services, large scale rental organizations or telecommunications environment.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP, revenue and lease accounting, and GL processes.
- Experience working with ERP systems (NetSuite) or similar financial platforms.
- Proven ability to manage financial close processes, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience in process improvement, automation, and internal controls implementation.
DUTIES
Revenue Management:
- Oversee the revenue recognition process, ensuring compliance with IFRS 15/ASC 606 and other relevant accounting standards.
- Oversee daily posting of customer deposits (cash, checks ACH, wire transfers etc) to appropriate accounts.
- Manage a team of Revenue Accountants and Cash Application Specialists.
- Manage the reconciliation of revenue accounts, ensuring discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly.
- Develop and maintain procedures and controls to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of revenue reporting.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities as it relates to revenue accounting and cash receipting.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and tax requirements related to revenue streams.
- Implement automation and process improvements to streamline revenue-related workflows.
Financial Compliance & Controls:
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, SOX compliance, and audit requirements.
- Collaborate with auditors, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Maintain policies and procedures to improve financial accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Process Improvement & Systems Enhancement: Drive continuous improvement and automation of GL and fixed asset accounting processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Cross Functional Alignment:
- Partner with FP&A, Operations, and IT to ensure alignment on financial data, systems integration, and business processes.
- Serve as a key liaison between the general ledger team and other departments to resolve accounting issues and ensure financial accuracy.

- Lead, coach, and develop the revenue and lease accounting team to achieve performance objectives and support career growth
- Identify training needs and implement skill-building initiatives to enhance team capabilities.
