Senior Accountant

This role is ideal for an accounting professional with strong technical expertise and a solid understanding of financial reporting, compliance, and operational accounting within a dynamic environment.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

• Prepare accurate financial statements, related report and audit schedules.
• Coordinate and oversee inventory counts, maintain inventory records and report on variances.  
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and IFRS compliance.
• Review and post accounts payable entries, ensuring proper recording and accuracy of transactions.
• Review and post customer invoices, ensuring proper recording and accuracy of transactions.   
• Conduct periodic review of AR reports and make recommendations, not limited to collection action or change of credit terms.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and periodic reports.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable duties.
• Strengthen internal controls and improve accounting processes.  
• Perform other related duties as assigned. 

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
• Minimum - ACCA Level 2
• At least five (5) years’ work experience in a similar position, preferably in a FMCG industry.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft suite (word, excel/excel connect etc).
