Senior Accountant

Group revenue assurance and financial integrity; integration and financial management of electronic airtime distribution, optimising billing/cash collection/inventory systems; managing intercompany reconciliations; accurate and timely information, operational and financial efficiencies

This role reports to the Group Financial Controller

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide Finance Leadership for the implementation of the electronic airtime distribution system — including requirements gathering, coordination with IT, development and implementation of appropriate reconciliation and billing processes, providing training to Finance, and change management.
• Partner with Finance and IT to identify opportunities for automation, integration, and workflow improvements to billing, accounts receivable and collection processes and systems.
• Develop and implement improved processes for improved control and reconciliation of airtime inventory, revenues, accounts receivable and cash.
• Identify business initiatives that will improve the efficiency of cash collections and management of accounts receivable.
• Manage and implement changes to processes that will improve the efficiency of cash collections and management of accounts receivable.
• Maintain data integrity and system controls, ensuring compliance with internal policies and best practise.
• Develop and maintain documentation for financial system processes, configurations, and workflows.
• Support Finance and Operations teams by ensuring systems enable timely and accurate reporting, and analysis.
• Serve as a bridge between Finance and IT, ensuring system and process changes are aligned with financial goals and operational requirements.
• Support the Group FC and Group CFO in daily operational tasks and ad hoc projects as may be assigned from time to time.
