Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in supporting Blewstream’s outsourced finance operations. This position requires strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage manual, Excel-based processes.

Overview:
The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in supporting Blewstream’s outsourced finance operations. This position requires strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage manual, Excel-based processes. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with regular interaction across departments and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting workflows, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Maintain and update manual databases (primarily Excel) to ensure accuracy of financial records
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve accounting discrepancies and streamline processes
• Liaise with external stakeholders, including vendors and strategic partners, to ensure timely data exchange and issue resolution
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of audit schedules and adjusting entries
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency
• Uphold company values and contribute to a culture of excellence in service delivery

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3–5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in an outsourcing or consulting environment
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with manual data-heavy processes
• Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement
• Experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in outsourced accounting or consulting roles
• Knowledge of financial systems and regulatory compliance
• Proven ability to drive process improvements
