Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the effort to reconstruct and reconcile historical financial data and clear backlogs across group companies.
  • Manage and monitor accounts receivable, including aging analysis, follow-ups with clients, and collections strategy.
  • Supervise monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and group policies.
  • Work closely with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies for audits and statutory compliance.
  • Develop and implement internal controls, accounting processes, and documentation standards.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve financial discrepancies.
  • Lead, train, and mentor junior accounting staff; delegate tasks and monitor performance.
  • Provide analytical support to management for budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Participate in ERP system enhancements or transitions, ensuring accurate data migration and setup.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, CMA, or equivalent preferred).
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a group of companies or diverse business sectors.
  • Proven experience handling financial backlogs and clean-up projects.
  • Strong expertise in accounts receivable and cash flow management.
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAGE, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).
  • Solid understanding of IFRS or GAAP, local tax laws, and financial compliance standards.

  • Familiarity with multi-entity financial consolidation and intercompany accounting.
