Our client is seeking a reliable and experienced Security Supervisor to oversee and coordinate the daily operations of their security team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our premises, enforcing policies and procedures and supervising security staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducts random inspection of Security Officers during the night.
  • Conduct random checks of both staff and lockers.
  • Covers shifts when necessary to ensure that the department continues to run smoothly.
  • Review/prepare the weekly roster to ensure that shifts are adequately covered, being mindful of operational cost.
  • Ensures guards register all incoming persons who are non-resident guests or staff as to their reason for visiting.
  • Monitors any person attempting to use an unauthorized or restricted area of the facility should be advised accordingly, making sure that they leave the area. In keeping with company policy, this should always be done courteously.
  • May be called upon by the hotel management to assist in persuading any person who breaks the hotel code conduct to leave the premises or in some cases return guests to their rooms.
  • May be called upon to detain any person who commits an unlawful or illegal act on company premises.
  • Attend and assist in any situation that may result in the threat of physical violence.
  • Reports any damage to company property to the General Manager, HSSE manager, GSS officer and the Duty Manager.
  • Assist the Health, Safety, Security & Environmental Manager with managing, motivating and monitoring the performance of all team members
  • Identifies candidates that are not performing to the expected standards of the company and recommend what steps should be taken.
  • Able to access and identify department conflicts and infractions against company policies / procedures, and understands how, when and what form of disciplinary action should be taken.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous Supervisory experience would be an asset.
  • Level 2 or above National Vocational Qualification in Providing Security Services.
  • Valid police certificate of character.
  • Valid Security License.
  • Experience in the security forces would be an asset.
