Security Officer

Monitoring the control of people and stock entering and leaving the compound with respect to security.

MAIN DUTIES:

1. Oversee Security Personnel
• Supervise daily activities of security officers (shifts, rotations, conduct).
2. Access Control Management
• Monitor and regulate access to the facility, including visitor and employee entry.
3. Incident Response & Reporting
• Respond to emergencies and incidents; prepare detailed reports on breaches or suspicious activities.
4. Surveillance Monitoring
• Oversee CCTV systems and other monitoring equipment for unusual or unauthorized activity.
5. Policy Enforcement
• Ensure compliance with company security protocols, safety rules, and procedures.
6. Training & Briefing
• Train new security staff and conduct regular briefings on updates and risk awareness.
7. Inspections & Patrols
• Conduct routine checks of the premises, including doors, gates, equipment, and alarm systems.
8. Coordination with Management
• Communicate regularly with company management regarding security concerns and improvements.
9. Record Keeping
• Maintain logs of shift changes, incidents, patrols, and access records.
10. Asset Protection

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Good communication skills (written and oral)
2. Possession of a secondary education inclusive of Mathematics & English. 
3. A background in security/property protection
4. Must be prepared to work a 12-hour day (7am to 7pm or 7pm to 7am) for six days per week
5. Must be in possession of a Police Certificate of Good Character
