Security Officer

The Security is responsible to perform Security duties, while demonstrating professionalism, integrity and sound objectivity in the performance of duties.

ARC Manufacturing Limited, one of Jamaica’s leading manufacturers and distributors of building materials, is inviting applications from qualified individuals to fill the following position of Security Officer for its Mandeville Distribution Hub:

General Responsibilities:

• Conduct spot checks.
• Record all incoming and outgoing goods.
• Check and log company and contractor trucks entering and leaving the compound.
• Patrol the premises regularly to maintain order and establish a visible presence.
• Monitor and authorize the entrance of vehicles and individuals to the premises.

Qualifications, Experience, and Competencies:

• Minimum of three (3) CXC subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.
• Registered Security Officer (PSRA certified).
• Honest and dependable, with a clean police record.
• At least two (2) years of experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of legal guidelines related to area security and public safety.
• Familiarity with report writing.
• Strong surveillance and observation skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
