Position Description:
The SETA (Security Education, Training, and Awareness) Administrator is responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining the organisation’s cybersecurity education, training, and awareness programs. This role focuses on reducing risks from human error by ensuring employees understand security policies, practices, and their individual responsibilities.
Main responsibilities of the role:
Programme Strategy and Planning
Develop comprehensive SETA strategy and framework
Create annual SETA programme plans
Align activities with cybersecurity objectives and risk assessments
Content Development and Design
Design security awareness campaigns on key topics
Develop training modules based role profiles and responsibilities
Create educational materials (videos, posters, infographics, simulations)
Develop assessment and testing materials
Platform Administration
Manage the implementation and maintenance of SETA platforms
Configure systems and manage user access
Upload and organize training content
Training Delivery
Deliver executive briefings and management presentations
Deploy awareness campaigns across organisational channels
Facilitate security awareness events
Monitoring and Reporting
Track training participation and completion rates
Monitor assessment scores and comprehension
Measure programme effectiveness and behavior change
Compliance and Documentation
Maintain training records and compliance documentation
Produce annual programme reports
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications & experience:
Bachelor’s degree in education, Instructional Design, Communications, Cybersecurity, or related field; or Associate degree with relevant certifications and equivalent training experience
Minimum 3-5 years' experience in security awareness, training delivery, or instructional design
Experience working with SETA platforms and managing SETA programs
Experience with programme implementation and management
Experience presenting to diverse audiences including executives
Desirable Certifications
Security Awareness Professional (SAP)
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
