About the Role:
The Security Coordinator ensures the safety of customers, employees, and company assets across all locations and the Support Centre by implementing security protocols, monitoring risks, responding to incidents, and supporting policy compliance to maintain a safe, secure environment
Key Functions
- Oversee daily security operations across all restaurant locations to ensure compliance with established security protocols and procedures
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify risks and recommend corrective actions
- Respond to and manage incidents (e.g., theft, vandalism, workplace violence), and lead investigations while preparing detailed reports
- Implement loss prevention strategies to reduce theft and shrinkage
- Manage security vendors (guards, alarm and CCTV providers) and monitor CCTV, alarm systems, and access control tools.
- Develop, update, and enforce security policies and procedures, ensure compliance with legal and company standards, and maintain accurate documentation to support audit readiness.
- Train staff and management on security procedures and emergency response
- Conduct drills (e.g., robbery response, evacuations)
- Promote a culture of safety and vigilance
- Oversee installation and maintenance of security systems
- Recommend new technologies to enhance security
- Prepare reports on incidents, trends, and performance metrics
- Analyse data to identify vulnerabilities and improvements
Our Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for someone who possess:
- Strong knowledge of security systems (CCTV, alarms, access control)
- Excellent investigation and report-writing skills
- Strong ability to manage multiple locations and prioritize competing demands effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Crisis management and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and security reporting tools
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
- Law enforcement training would be an asset
- 3–5 years of experience in security, loss prevention, or risk management
- Experience in retail, hospitality, or QSR multi-unit environments is an asset
