The Security Coordinator is responsible for the surveillance services at the Company’s facilities including access control and car park attending in accordance with Company policies and procedures.

Supreme Ventures Services Limited, a subsidiary of Supreme Ventures, is seeking a Security Coordinator to join our Security Team.

 

The ideal candidate will oversees the effective management, including the daily routine under the guidance and leadership of the Security Manager. He/she is also, responsible to ensure the safety of the Security Guards during their shift based on the various security standing orders, relevant to the facility.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the Manager with the day-to-day operation of the Security & Intelligence Department.
  • Monitoring the electronic surveillance equipment used on the premises.
  • Ensure the area is patrolled and presents a list of potential problems the officers should be on the lookout for.
  • Work with staff to develop safety plans for the buildings within the SVL Group and lead periodic safety drills for employees.
  • Ensure that Security Officers are familiar with conducting their duties in accordance with the location standing orders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager or his senior of Security related to staff safety and security
  • Monitoring the security officers to enforce the security and safety programs, which enable the company assets to function according to the guidelines and quality standards for providing adequate supervision of security officers.
  • Ensure that all assigned locations are covered at the requisite times and if not, make the necessary arrangements to have them covered at the shortest possible time. 
  • Where locations/areas are not covered on time, the Supervisor representing the respective Security Provider must give a reason for the absence of the security officer and an estimated arrival time of the guard on route to the location. 
  • Ensure that all assigned locations/areas are visited at least twice during each tour of duty and to ensure that all logbooks are checked upon each visits. 
  • Implementing the security and various safety improvements, to provide benefit to the company’s assets and employees as directed by the Security and Intelligence Assistant Manager and his senior. 
  • Make surprise inspections to see whether all security officers are in their assigned posts. 
  • Conduct continuous supervision of security officers assigned and ensure that Standing Orders/Post Orders are implemented and adhered to by all security officers.
  • Investigate and report all incidents to the Security & Intelligence Assistant Manager and his designate. These include but are not limited to breach of standing orders, injuries, theft, etc. A written report is to be provided by you in the event of any such incident. 
    • Ensure that the post orders are reiterated daily to security officers, ensuring that the posts are always manned. Intervene personally to resolve issues or refer then immediately to the Supervisor representing the respective Security Provider and/or Security & Intelligence Assistant Manager and his senior.
    • You must make yourself familiar with all emergency equipment at the locations to effectively brief new security officers.
    • Assist in ensuring that the “Security Officer Time Sheets” are collected, checked and submitted to the Supervisor representing the respective Security Provider no later than 1200 hrs each Monday.
    • Ensure that all new security officers are properly introduced, prior to posting them.
    • Ensure that no security officer should be removed from assigned locations unless approval is given by the Security & Intelligence Manager or his senior.
    • Ensure that whenever a request for change of a security officer, is made the matter must be immediately reported to the Security & Intelligence Manager and the reason for the request outlined.
    • Document all daily occurrences within Supreme Ventures Group. These include: recording all response team visits, receipt of verbal and written reports from staffs and security officers and recommend any follow up actions that are needed. The collected information will be used to compile a comprehensive security report to the department head.
    • Ensure that the proper Handing/Taking Over procedures are strictly adhered to
    • Provide security escort services to employees and guests required
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum five (5) CSEC subjects inclusive of English, Mathematics and Accounts 
  • Minimum experience of one year in administrative
