Security Coordinator - Island wide
Reporting to the Security Supervisor, the Security Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the company’s security standards and executing company guidelines to support the organization’s overall security objectives. The incumbent will champion security and risk management initiatives across the business while ensuring compliance with global risk and security management standards.
Major Responsibilities
- Conducts routine and ad hoc security reviews, risk assessments, and audits to evaluate the effectiveness of security measures, identify vulnerabilities, and ensure compliance with CBL operational and corporate security standards.
- Monitors on-the-ground security operations, including daily follow-ups with the Security Supervisor and oversight of surveillance camera systems, to ensure effective security coverage and timely resolution of security concerns.
- Reviews existing security protocols and recommends corrective actions, preventative measures, and process improvements to address identified risks, gaps, and operational concerns.
- Maintains oversight of contracted security providers by monitoring service delivery, evaluating performance against agreed service levels, and ensuring compliance with company expectations and standards.
- Prepares and submits daily, bi-weekly, and monthly security reports, including security headcount compilations, Distribution Centre (DC) visit reports, and SDG reports to support operational monitoring and decision-making.
- Processes security-related invoices and facilitates onboarding presentations and security training sessions for new employees and contractors to promote security awareness and compliance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Professional Security & Management Certification
- A minimum of 3 years of working experience in Security Services
- Experience in Risk Management
- Excellent presentation Skills
- Conducting Internal/External Investigation experience is a distinct asset
- Must own and operate a reliable motor vehicle and have a valid Jamaican driver’s license
