Sagicor Bank Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Centralized Collateral & Securities team in the capacity of:
Securities Assistant
(Grade 2)
Provide administrative support to the department through the logging of collaterals; cataloguing, maintaining and administration of security files management system.
Track and monitor leave schedule and incoming and outgoing mails.
Location: Kingston
As a Securities Assistant, you will:
- Review credit packages and input details of collateral pledged in T24.
- Catalogue security files for file management system.
- Update files with correspondence including but not limited to security documents, insurance renewal and internal memos & letters.
- Replace file folders (where necessary) and update collateral log sheet.
- Maintain a log of closed files for culling and archiving.
- Create a log of miscellaneous files in the front and back vault.
- Retrieve files upon request.
- Create new file and assign respective file code.
- Monitor and submit monthly stationery request.
- Process in-house stamping of specified security documents based on composition agreement with Tax Administration of Jamaica.
- Collate and process all security documents received for processing at the relevant government agencies.
- Prepare weekly/ monthly/ quarterly reports.
- Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.
What do you need?
- Diploma/Associate Degree in Business Management or any other related field from a recognized tertiary institution.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in banking with at least one (1) year exposure in credit/loan environment.
- Sound knowledge of computer software packages including spreadsheet and word processing applications.
- In-depth knowledge of the processing functionality of T24 core banking application.
- Basic knowledge of the bank’s credit facilities.
- Knowledge of the bank’s and unit’s policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of security documentation and processing.
- High degree of accuracy and detail oriented.
- High degree of confidentiality and flexibility.
- Ability to prioritize and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, independently in customer and team oriented environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
