The School Account Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with primary, secondary, and tertiary educational institutions across Jamaica. This role focuses on managing accounts, increasing sales of educational supplies and textbooks, and ensuring that schools receive exceptional customer service throughout the academic year.
Serve as the primary contact for assigned school accounts across all parishes
Build long-term relationships with principals, purchasing officers, bursars, and teachers
Maintain up-to-date records of each school's purchasing needs and history
Promote and sell textbooks, school supplies, furniture, and related services
Prepare and submit customized quotes based on school booklists or bulk orders
Coordinate deliveries and pickups with logistics team to ensure timely fulfillment
Follow up on deliveries, payment collection, and post-sale satisfaction
Identify and pursue new school accounts and untapped regions
Attend educational expos, back-to-school fairs, and PTA meetings to promote SWBC
Monitor competitor activity and pricing to maintain market competitiveness
Address inquiries, resolve complaints, and escalate complex issues
Guide schools through the quote-to-delivery process, including wire transfer and invoice protocols
Ensure high levels of satisfaction that encourage repeat business and referrals
3+ years of sales, account management, or customer service experience (education sector a plus)
Strong knowledge of the Jamaican school system and school-year cycles
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
Must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to travel
