 The Ideal Candidate

We're not just looking for a voice on the phone; we're seeking a strategic thinker who is relentless in their pursuit of excellence. The person who will excel in this role has:

  • Sales Background: All candidates must have a minimum of 1.5 years of experience in a sales-specific role 
  • Environmental Fit: Candidates must have documented experience working in fast-paced, demanding environments where they have had to multitask across multiple computer systems simultaneously.
  • 2-3 years of CRM Experience: You are an expert in using a CRM. You can walk us through how you've organized your activity, managed leads, and executed your sales process within a CRM environment.
  • Assumptive Sales: Must be able to speak specifically to your experience with assumptive sales techniques and show a "sales-first" mindset.
  • A "Grit" Mindset: Show us your resilience. We're looking for examples of how you've turned a setback into a success and thrived in a high-performance environment.
  • Strong Upselling and Referrals Ability: The ability to upsell and gain references from existing customers is a key part of your skill set.
  • Coachability and Follow-Through: You are eager to learn new skills and processes. You can provide specific examples of being coached and implementing new strategies with excellent follow-through.
  • A Track Record of Consistency: Your resume should demonstrate a history of constant improvement and a commitment to "doing the right things" in every position you've held.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute a high volume of outbound calls to a defined list of prospects.
  • Qualify leads and meticulously manage the sales pipeline from initial contact to appointment setting.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all activities and interactions in our CRM.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure a seamless handover of qualified appointments.
  • Consistently meet and exceed weekly and monthly appointment setting targets.
  • Provide regular feedback to the management team on market trends and lead quality.

 

 

Technical & Industry Skills 

  • Basic understanding of electricity/utility services (Basic Knowledge is acceptable)  

  • Comfortable using CRM systems and sales software 

  • Accurate data entry skills 

  • Ability to follow compliance guidelines and read from a script  

Education Requirements: 

▪ High school diploma or equivalent required

▪ Post-secondary education is an asset
