The Sales Team Lead, DTT - Barbados will act as a liaison between the management and the team, leading the team to make its quotas, correcting any problem that comes up, and motivating the sales team.

JOB SUMMARY

The Sales Team Lead (DTT) is primarily responsible for ensuring the effective Sales and Distribution of our products throughout the DTT sales channels and assigned Routes. Leads and develops the DTT Sales Team with the aim of achieving sales and revenue targets.

 

KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS

-         Develops and implements sales strategies to drive sales and achieve monthly sales targets.

-         Experience with the geographic locations of Barbados.

-         Conducts distribution checks to assess Net Numeric distribution and highlight gaps and opportunities.

-         Leadership experience effectively managing a DTT Sales Team comprised of Customer Service Representatives,    Assistant CSRs.

-         Sales experience managing and selling to Mom-and-Pop business formats.

-         Anticipates sales distribution gaps, and reports on opportunity areas.

-         Ensures representation of all brands at all assigned customers.

-         Regularly assess sales routes for effective coverage and efficiency.

-         Ensure AR Collections are made on time and in full.

-         Ability to plan daily sales schedule for an efficient dispatching process.

-         Conducts Trade Audits to ensure brands are visible, available and in line with company distributor standards e.g.      Chiller Audits.

-         Oversee team performance, complete performance assessments with the aim of training, rewarding, mentoring   and coaching to develop the knowledge and capabilities of the DTT Sales Team.

-         Strong leadership experience with the ability to train, develop, motivate and inspire the distribution sales team.

-         Resolves expeditiously individual, team and customer concerns. Escalate appropriately.

-         Continuously coach, mentor and staff to enable achievement of monthly sales targets.

-         Promotes and ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures.

-         Ensures health & safety standards are upheld in accordance with company and regulatory standards.

-         Prepares accurate sales performance reports monthly and weekly within stipulated deadline.

-         Ability to effectively work in a fast-paced work environment.

 

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

-         3-5 years’ experience in a similar position specifically in route to market sales is preferred.

-         Extensive trade knowledge and experience working within the geography of Barbados.

-         Associate degree in Business Management, Marketing or its equivalent.

-         Knowledge and practical experience with sales software applications.

-         Certificate in Microsoft Office, proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

-         Heavy-duty licence will be an asset.
