Sales & Service Technician

Battery Technician responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining batteries while ensuring excellent customer service. Conducts system checks, supports warranty processing, manages inventory support tasks, and maintains a clean, safe, and professional work environment at all times.

Job Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Battery Technician to install, test, and maintain automotive batteries while delivering excellent customer service. The role supports sales, warranty processing, and inventory handling to ensure efficient daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, test, and replace automotive batteries.
• Conduct checks on batteries, trays, clamps, cables, alternator, and regulator output.
• Accurately complete and explain warranty forms and procedures to customers.
• Provide product guidance on batteries, tyres, oils, and lubricants.
• Recommend suitable products based on customer needs.
• Escalate technical issues or difficult customer situations to Supervisor/Manager.
• Ensure proper placement of scrap batteries in designated areas.
• Assist with loading, offloading, and movement of goods to stockroom.
• Support showroom restocking and maintain clean, organized displays.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment and appearance.
• Participate in stock counts and tool accountability checks.
• Ensure accurate coding and recording of incoming and outgoing merchandise.
• Communicate operational issues and updates effectively.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Experience in automotive, mechanical, or battery-related work is an asset.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle electrical systems.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks (lifting batteries, standing for long periods).
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Team-oriented with a willingness to learn.
