JOB SUMMARY:      

The Professional Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales and building strong relationships with hairdressers, spas, and nail technicians within an assigned territory. The incumbent will promote the professional beauty portfolio through in-salon visits, product demonstrations, and participation in events such as hair shows and trade promotions. This role demands a dynamic, goal-oriented individual with expertise in customer relationship management, merchandising, and sales strategies. Work may occasionally be required on weekends and evenings to support events and promotional activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Present and sell an assigned range of professional hair, nail, and skincare products to salons, spas, and nail technicians.
  • Achieve or exceed monthly sales targets and support overall territory growth.
  • Develop and maintain detailed monthly sales plans and route schedules to optimize account visits.
  • Conduct regular salon/spa visits to demonstrate products, offer promotional deals, and provide after-sales service.
  • Ensure in-store merchandising standards are upheld, including product placement, inventory review, and visual displays.
  • Advise clients on replenishment, and promotional strategies to maximize sell-through.
  • Foster long-term relationships with beauty professionals to generate loyalty and repeat business.
  • Educate clients on new products, beauty trends, and usage techniques through personalized consultations.
  • Identify and pursue new customer leads and business opportunities within the assigned region.
  • Represent the company at events such as hair shows, trade expos, and in-salon promotions.
  • Organize and participate in weekend or after-hour events to engage clients and showcase product benefits.
  • Submit timely reports including weekly call logs, market feedback, and monthly sales performance.
  • Process client orders, returns, and inquiries efficiently, ensuring a high standard of customer service.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide market insights and feedback for marketing and product development.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies related to vehicle usage, customer service standards, and promotional budgets. 

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum of five (5) GCE/CXC O’Levels passes, two (2) of which must include English and Mathematics. 

ADDITIONAL CERTIFICATION:

  • Must hold a valid Trinidad and Tobago Class 3 or 4 Driver’s Permit.
  • Professional certification in Selling Techniques would be an asset.

EXPERIENCE

  • At least two (2) years’ experience in a similar capacity would be an asset.
  • Experience in selling nutritional and personal care products would be an asset.
